I am not wrong and …
I am not wrong and maybe you are the propaganda. The stuff I typed in is easy to find. Again, I am addressing the mans hypocrisy and effects on lives like his daughter. He simply wants to be the controlling stimulus and pretend there is nothing on “the other side”, Every stimulus producer has an agenda. Agendas require a conscious intent. oh my

actually its not …
actually its not true buddy! that was just propaganda back in those ages to discredit skinners views.look it up do your research man

Well, I didn’t get …
Well, I didn’t get it from Skinners AutoBio. It is true. Research. And don’t use an approved Psych books. And don’t forget:: The Mormons invented “Double Bind Theory” Long, long before Gregory Bateson…..You wont find that fact easily, either. And I am discussing Skinner…. The Schedule of Reinforcements is the Spitting of the Atom to the Sheeple:: Until they have a Conscious Meaningful Reference System and some Morality. Then one can walk away.

Sorry, but you are hilarious…
Where did you get this from???????

Skinner raised his …
Skinner raised his daughter in a sensory deprivation box. He allowed her nothing. Yet he enjoyed load noises, making guns and firing them over his neighbors fence. Now, lets extend that gun and intrusion as stimulus from a source. Lets compare it to his daughter. He intrudes himself into his neighbors lives . He stimulates his neighbors with load noises but I doubt if he allowed reciprocity. He intruded, he was a controller and refused to acknowledge his role as such. His brilliance lies there

Dear …
Dear IExposeMormonism:
Think of this: SCIENCE (itself) is dangerous, if not used ethically.
Sorry for being this honest, but I gotta say you should STUDY a little bit more about what you are criticizing before you do so… =)

Molding Human …
Molding Human behavior this way is called “Pigeon Dancing”. The schedules of reinforcement are the ultimate “nuclear bomb” in psychology and thus in molding human behavior in the world in All the world and all its values. Values Of who? Of those who are making the commercials, wars, tv programs and such gentling nudging you towards an end no one seems to see. (except me of course) The Sch’ofReinf’ are more dangerous than the Freemason Mormon Hierarchy! Mormonism invented Double Bind Theory!

and YES in case …
and YES in case you’ll mention glorious US “democratic freedom” try to picture how much little actual freedom there is internally and how much it acts as a giant closed room internationally (specially when dealing with culture)
November 16th, 2009 at 9:42 pm
I believe you …
I believe you totally missed his point, his was a rather ellegant answer in my opinion. What I think he meant is that there are many reinforcements that surpass “freedom”, such as social acceptance, security, status and so on. Thus in a closed room, where safety and social reinforcements are rendered useless, freedom might be the best reinforcer. Just browse through history and you’ll see that people are always up to give up freedom in exchange for other reinforcers.

So he is saying… …
So he is saying… because we can recognize our environment and can respond to it appropriately, we have no free will? The bird figured out a trend, and since they keep them always hungry, theyll always try to get the food. The bird isnt like the gambler, the bird knows that the food will always come at one point, and at no cost. This guy makes really stupid assumptions.
November 16th, 2009 at 9:42 pm
Interesting. It …
Interesting. It follows that Skinner’s statements rejecting the doctrine of free will are the result of environmental causes/conditions. In other words, he is not the author of his statements. Nor I of mine…

B.F. Skinner was a …
B.F. Skinner was a man of insightful knowledge into the human psyche. I feel that his experiements were more along the lines of discovering OCD though. we all have OCD to some degree. he was looking at the simple aspects of positive and negative reinforcement.

Never heard that …
Never heard that expression, but I guess it is more like knowing why the responses is coming. Today I drink beer at the pub, not because I have free will, but my father had beer everyday, yesterday I saw a beer commercial, last time it was fun meeting pplI have not seen people for a while, and if I drink beer here I can end up with a girl as well etc etc. Ps. I “choose”, more precise: take cola and are driver, not free will either
November 16th, 2009 at 9:42 pm
I am aware Skinner …
I am aware Skinner accounts for thinking. I’ve read all of Skinner’s work on thinking in both books yrs ago.
I am saying thinking is conditioning more than you may know even if thinking can be traced to external stimulus & schedules of reinforcement. Thus a free will called “sharpened discriminative control” would emerge through conditioning by thinking & choices.
Personal history being conditioning I find it foolish to avoid the human’s choices affect on further thinking in the equation.
November 16th, 2009 at 9:42 pm
Correct. You would …
Correct. You would call “free will” a new name like “sharpened discriminative stimulus.”
November 16th, 2009 at 9:42 pm
In that case this …
In that case this operant that sums up to be “free will” is a learnt and a part of the organisms past- In that way the operant is still originated from a external stimulus?

If the genetics are …
If the genetics are so different that the cell produces abnormal amounts of adrenaline when stimulated., (if high level of adrenaline could kill someone). Or some other configurations of course. I don’t look like this version of bundy on the outside. Not on inside either. Time machines and Gods are the same.

I myself, have OCD …
I myself, have OCD and take a SSRI for it. There were times were I reveled in killing my ex gf for the emotional pain she caused me through rejection. I’ve even had fantasies of raping her!
I would NEVER act that out though as she never done anything that would harm my life. She is innocent and I have vented out the anger and no longer have it. I do pull pranks on her still though! (nothing threatening or evil though)
My difference is that I have a philosophy and rational belief system. (limit

Hi Drew, (it’s Drew …
Hi Drew, (it’s Drew right?)
I wasn’t evoking anything to necessarily defend.. just some thoughts I wanted to explore. I do not think Ted was psychotic. I think he was more neurotic and fully control of his rational and moral faculties. He may have had a type of OCD that went haywire. Still, I believe he lacked a moral philosophy and distorted his ethics believing he really was a god.
I think genetics play a part in some mental illnesses but I believe people like Ted weren’t influenced by genes

Imagine if we could …
Imagine if we could travel back in time to when Bundy was still a fetus in his mother. Now imagine if we could switch the fetus that would become Bundy with a different fetus from similar but different genetics.
Do you think there is a chance this new fetus, that will go through the same experiences as Bundy, could possibly become a murderer? Or do you think there is some ingrained trait that people are born with that makes them predisposed to become murderers of their own volition?
