What does the word "droits" mean in French?

Sorry, I mean what does it mean in English. It IS French.

literally, it means "Rights"

this can be either:

La droit de…….The Right to (do something)

La gauche ou la droit………the left or the right, for direction.

Human Rights……..Les Droits de Humain.

les droits……laws

main droit……..right hand

    or right ( in the sense of right or left) à droit ( to the right)

    Yes, as pointed out right hand is ‘main droit’, but right hand in sense of right-hand man is ‘bras droit’ literally right arm.
