Psychologie für den Alltag (7) – Unser Umgang mit Emotionen [1/2]

March 32010

7. Behavioral Finance: The Role of Psychology

February 282010

Financial Markets (ECON 252)

Behavioral Finance is a relatively recent revolution in finance that applies insights from all of the social sciences to finance. New decision-making models incorporate psychology and sociology, among other disciplines, to explain economic and financial phenomenon, such as erratic stock price variations. Psychological patterns such as overconfidence and perceived kinks in the value function seem to impact financial decision-making, but are not included in classical theories such as the Expected Utility Theory. Kahneman and Tversky’s Prospect Theory addresses such issues and sheds light on irrational deviations from traditional decision-making models.

A special case of information-selection by the human cognitive system. The brain seems to select the information worth to process, or most relevant, at every instant, in almost every context. This might produce some very specific phenomena such as what psychologists call “Change Blindness”.

People call Taker overrated-is he? I dont think so?

February 142010

So i wanna make something clear right know, caus im really sick of the people running around calling Taker overrated.

So i just wanna ask you guys what do you thinka bout that? Peole always call Taker overrated, saying his gimmick sucks, etc. But IMO, those who said that taker suck, doesnt know anything about Pro-Wrestling. If some people wanna respond, they should do it with knowledge and with actual facts and happenings, not stupid fanboy talking shit. Most of guys just know about mainstream fed spoon garbage, and doesnt care whats outside the linear spectrum if ya know what i mean. So, first of all, if you think im crazy to call Taker one of the greatest, youre crazy. Most people are comparing Kobashi and Misawa to Taker..whats that? Taker is a Big-Man, so why comparing him to guys like Kobashi. Compare Taker with guys like Sid, Kane, Nash, Awesome etc. With the most of Big-Mens and Taker is easily better than maybe all in the business.

So lets get start.

Gimmick

Taker has one of the best gimmicks of all time, of not THE best ever. People saying his gimmick is boring and sucks, but why does it still works than after nearly 20 years?? Most of the guys are comparing Taker to guys like Hogan, Rock, Cena etc. Thats not just the WWE fans, also others. There many who doesnt give Taker the credit he deserves. Get in the biz, work a few years and come back and well see.
Can anyone think of a better gimmick who has accomplished more than the Undertaker? The crowd instantly love him. Even as a heel, Taker was still popular.

Wrestling-skills

May say Taker is overated, but i really gotta say, Taker is underrated by the most in the ring.
Taker is one of the hardest Workers ever. And he could have a great Match with anyone. Its just his Ringpsychologie that makes him great and least him so long. Taker is just something special. He put over a lot of Wrestlers. Even after all this years, Taker is still one of my favorites. He is one of the greatest ever, combined with the ability to tell a story in the ring . He has like i said much In-Ring Psychologie. And Psychology means MANY things. Its how you control the crowd, knowing what spots to do when, emotion, everything.
Taker wrestles with so much emotion and intensity that you believe it and believe in n him. Taker needs a good worker to put on a great match..? Ever seen those Taker Vs Batista matches?
Taker clearly showed that he could make a great match with even the worst guys. Id bet this was Batistas best matches and feud against Taker. Just take a look at them, Taker carried always the entire match, and made Batista look like a million bucks. People need to get facts straight or just shut up. Taker even once said, believe it or not, here what he said.

"These internet people think they know so much about this business, but they don’t know s***. Those people really don’t have any effect on what I do. I think a lot of these people are so geared up to the smaller wrestlers, the guys that jump around, that’s the only thing that entertains them. I don’t use wrestling moves as an end all be all. I’m out there to tell a story. These critics don’t affect me. When they say I’m old or that I’m slow. I think they forget that I’m six-foot-eight and over 300 pounds. I would go against anyone my size and go move for move with them any day. if I worried about what they said, I would have retired a long time ago, I worry about what the guys in the locker room say, what the real fans that pay their hard-earned money for our shows say and what Vince McMahon says"

Make no mistake, Taker is a legend, a Storyteller, Mr. Ringpsychologie. I think even the guys who dont watch WWE, id bet they still would say that Taker is a great wrestler, respect him and will agree with me what i said. Mark Calaway is so good because of his Psychologie, the only think you really need to be great is Ringpsychologie. Without it, your terrible. Taker also doesnt always follow the traditional 4-step match.

The Undertaker is one of the best mainstream-wrestlers of all time, NO ONE can argue that fact. Really, people who say Taker is overrated, need to take a look at guys like Batista, Austin, Rock, Goldberg etc. Ive some funny storys about Goldberg..tell em later if ya want. And if ya now wanna say that Goldberg, Rock, and Batista arent "that bad" need to face the fact, that no worker on this earth will bring themselfe in to say that those one i list,
can actually work or shoot, caus they cant. If anyone heres a legit worker, im sure they have a different outlook.

And yes,I’m in the know,I was fortunate enough to work with some names and took the opportunity to learn from them, problem is due,on’t have the territories really anymore, you have cookie cutter developmental systems that produce crap (Cena,Batista most of the guys coming out now)..

And the best id say, take a look at guys like Kobashi, Flair, Liger, Mutoh, Benoit, Steamboat, Ultimo Dragon, he could outow
1. Ive never ever said Taker is the best of all time, i dont think that you guys read all i said. You cant compare guys like Taker with guys like KENTA, Liger, CIMA etc. Its like comparing John Cena to Ultimo Dragon or saying Cena is a good High-flyer.
People who saying Taker wins every feud, and dont lay down to no one, need to get konwledge and get some informations about a man called Bill Goldberg. And as i said, when your saying Taker is overrated, then you may need to take a look at guys like Angle or Austin. Ive NEVER said Taker is the greatest ever, i said hes one of the all-time greats, and one of the best mainstream-workers ever. Hes arguably one of the best in WWE history. Thats a fact. To critizide Taker is just foolisch.
How dare people call Taker overrated.

So back to Bill Goldberg, per a example, a guys whos REALLY overrated, not like Taker.

People are just haters. Taker isn’t overrated. They’re just bitter because he took the championship from CM Punk.

fRENCH HELP PLEASE DEMONSTRATE HOW TO DO THESE?
